lunch with nan was good...which was surprising considering we got fed the exact same meals as the oldies get (except for, ours wasn't pureed beyond recognition..hahaha)..
nan looked good too. and considering she's almost 85 and lived through some pretty wicked shit, that's surprising, too.
she's a funny old duck.
totally demented one minute.
sharp as a tack the next.
but always a lady.

sometimes she forgets that my mum is her daughter-in-law and not her actual daughter. but it's sweet, coz it means that she must love my mum enough to feel all those motherly emotions.
but today, today she asked about her sons.
"i have two boys aswell, dont i?" nan asked..
which made mum cry...
then nana started crying..
and i laughed..
and they both forgot what they were crying about.

anyway...mum and pog are here, so i'd better go and stop being so anti-social..

m heading back to the valley tomorrow, but haven't told the grrl yet..
