schnooochums sms'd me last nite. she wanted me to know she was in melbourne. unfortunately, she's here for some pretty serious family reasons.
her dad is in hospital. no one really know's exactly what happened..but his wife (who is not schnoooochums mum *shudder**) found him, and he had no pulse. so she started CPR, called and ambulance, and they took him to the hospital. he was unconscious, and hasn't been conscious since. they say he was deprived of oxygen for too long, and as a result might have some severe brain damage..

i can only imagine what simone is feeling..
she has a great relationship with her dad, but doesn't get to see him very often..and this would just be crushing her..
somehow i feel lucky..lucky that i knew my father was sick, and that when his time came, he went relatively quickly and painlessly..but poor simone and her family have to deal with the fact that he's comatose and on a ventilator, and may never regain consciousness..

it's so fucked..

i feel so much for simone...it would be so hard to sit back watching someone that you love soooo much just laying there..
when i spoke to her last nite, i wanted so badly to go to frankston and be with her..but i couldn't. i had to leave melbourne 7am this morning to get back here in time to start work on my damned assignment. if i had have had longer in which to complete it, i would have definately gone to see her..i hope she understands why i didn't arrange to see her...

so people are saying that the war will start on monday, march 3rd...mmmm...great....the first day of uni, and the fuckin iraqui's are going to blow up the planet...and i really wanted to finish this degree..*sighs*..

sometimes...certain events really make me question whether or not god really exists...
anyway...all this is quite depressing..so i'm gonna go write up this damned assignment.
