a real estate agent is coming out this morning to value the house..i don't think we'll get terribly much for it, but i guess that's not bad considering we didn't pay much for it.

luckily, being here in the valley, you can get lovely houses with tiny price tags. but still, i'd be happy if we get $180K for it.
we haven't really done much to the place in the 20months we've been here. well, apart from fixing the kitchen and putting in ducted cooling, we really haven't done anything. so i guess anything over what we paid for the place is a profit.

the house mum likes is about $250K with land and gardens..which really isn't very much for a house these days..mind you, it is out in the outer western suburbs of melbourne..so anywhere else the same house would probably be about $350K.

it's just strange though...starting the ball rolling, and getting things happening. now it feels like we really will be out of here by this time next year.

this morning, mum told my sister that we should be back in melbourne by the end of the year. her reply was
"thank fuck..i can home back in home"..
mum and i just looked at each other with expressions of horror on our face.
mum was the first to speak
"there'll be no room"..she said.
"yeah" i agreed.."no room"..
then she went on to tell us how she'd make a home for herself in the garage, if there was no room in the house.
god..there is no way i'm picking up the mortgage on a house if she's coming home to live..*shaking my head*..

no way in hell..

but hopefully, it was just a fleeting thought on her part..
*crossing my fingers*

anyway...i need to go pack so that i can head back home to my grrl..
