last night i thought i'd take advantage of the beautiful weather and wash all of my work uniforms. i love the smell of my uniform after it's been freshly washed and dried in the sun..and this morning i was woken up by the biggest bang of thunder.
typical.
i should have known that teasing mother nature with a full line of much-needed clothing was a bad idea.
so now it's pissing down outside, my uniforms are on the line, and i have work in exactly 3hours and 7 minutes.
great..
and we have no dryer..
looks like i'll be having a pretend brain fart this afternoon and wearing something that looks suspiciously like a prison uniform to the hospital.
oh well..

i had the best sleep last night. it was simply marvellous.
having not had a terribly large amount of sleep since NYE it was nice to goto bed knowing that i had more than 4.5hour until i had to get up..so yeah...i did wake up a little earlier than i would have liked, but now i'm just going to lay here in bed (with my laptop on my tummy) and relax...yes indeedy....
tonight is my first official shift on the surgical ward. i hope it goes well and is nice and quiet, as i have to be back at the prison to dose methadone in the morning. and tomorro afternoon i'm meeting up with a prison officer who is a tattooist in his spare time, and we're going to discuss him tattooing over the monstrosity on my left shoulder blade. so yeah,...i've been meaning to get it covered up since 96, but just never bothered to find the time or money. so now i have both i will be getting it done ASAP. only problem is, i have no idea what to put over it..hehehe...but i'm thinking something tribal (and big) or celtic (and big) will be the way to go.

last night i dreamt of the grrl. it's been the first time in a long time, but i think it's because i was reading old, happy diary entries before going to bed. and not only were we together, but i was in medical school. sam and medicine..what a dream.. anyway...i'm gonna go back to my lazing about.
it's not something i get to do very often.
