so my day's been pretty bloody awsome..

not only did i get to sleep in until just before noon..but i had the quietist shift ever at work..
we had 8 patients come in in the 8 hours i was there...8 patients...2 of which we admitted to the ward..another 3 wanted wounds redressed...and the rest were in and out so quickly that i didn't even get to see them, so i can't tell you why the presented in the first place..
so yeah..
oh..and the old guy died...about 15minutes after he left ED for the unit...it's kinda sad...but also for the best. i mean..he was old...had a fracture to C1 (he sustained it 2weeks ago..from a fall)...and would have had at least 4 broken ribs from last night's CPR efforts. he also had cancer..so yeah...at least his wife got to say goodbye.

so i've opened my mind to the thought of studying medicine in queensland if i have to...have been looking into the course offered by james cook univeristy...it seems pretty cool..very similar to U newcastle (where i really wanna go)...only it's in townsville..in the fucking tropics...all hot weather and mosquitos...so i dunno..will have to talk to mum about it, cuz it's a long way from our beloved melbourne. but a medical degree is a medical degree...and beggars can't be choosers...and it's only for 5 years.
5 years isn't a long time..considering i just spent 8 years at uni..

not only that..but it might be good for me..
will get me away from those damned memories that i still dont want to let go of..
