so i waited around in the valley for a whole extra day to go to this hospital day at uni, and it sucked. they lured us with promises of metropolitan hospitals coming down to talk to us, and only one metro hospital was there - all the rest were tiny little rural places...boy was i annoyed. coz that was a whole extra nite away from the grrl...
but i'm here now...so i guess it's all ok.
yesterday, while i was at uni the lists were put up for us to choose our clinicals next semester. normally it's done by a computed allocating system, but they told us that that system wasn't *fair*(mind you, it's worked for the last 3 years of our studies!) and that someone will manually select us.
so anyway....my preferences....(not in order, cuz that will ruin the suspense *L*) were

yup...the jail...i put the mens prison in sale down as my first preference, and i even tried sweettalking the nursing reception chick. i told her how i desperately wanted to do my grad year at forensicare, and i gave her this great speil on how "i feel that experience in a mens correctional facility would help my chances..blah blah"...she smiled...nodded....and told me she'd do her best.
so hopefully no one else in my group will even want to go there...there are 4 spots, though...so really...my chances of getting in there for 2 weeks are decent.
the grrl, on the other hand, isn't as enthusiastic as i am *giggling*...she's kinda worried that i'm going to get raped and murdered and raped...but i think she's seen too many movies...
i think it'll definately be an eye opener...and if it's gonna help my chances of getting into forensicare, them i'm gonna do it..
besides, i think i'd make a terribly spunky prison bitch...hahaha..
